mgSimplify Feature List
Key Features
Some key features of mgSimplify are:
- Mouse actions can be made relative to a window so that if the target window moves or is resized, the recorded actions still click on the desired region.
- Mouse actions can be made relative to any part of a window so tasks like resizing a window to an odd size are very easily automated.
- Easily switch between programs by pressing a keystroke you can remember. Pressing +w can invoke your word processor. +s can invoke your spreadsheet.
- MgSimplify supports the Microsoft Windows logo key, , found on newer keyboards.
- Macros can be either specific to a particular program or globally accessible. This feature allows context sensitive macros so that alt+m might mean "check the mail" in an email program and could mean "magnify the selected region" in a paint program.
- Macros can invoke other macros. This feature makes it easy to put together complex sequences by first making smaller sub macros.
- Macros can be edited. A short macro can have additional actions added to it and long macros can be shortened.
- Delays can easily be added where needed. Delays can be useful if your macro needs to wait for a window to open before proceeding.
- Windows can be resized to fit a screen or fit within another window with a single keystroke. Want a window to grow as tall as possible? Point your mouse at the window and press , +Alt+t and the window will grow vertically but retain its current width.
New in Version 1.0.16
- Supports NT 4.0 and NT 5.0 (beta).
- One keystroke can both open and optionally, minimize an application.
- Can override an application that interferes with mgSimplify
- Need to temporarily pause a macro so you can
type something or look up a reference? Insert a "Wait for keyboard" pause.
- A side effect of the "Wait for keyboard" feature is you can temporarily disable
mgSimplify so it will ignore hotkeys.
